Infrastructure Division is an appalling place to work

Pros

Overall, the company is great. Salary and bonus are great, and the offices are great, interesting places to spend the day. Charity time off is superb.

Cons

The infrastructure Division is run by a group of cronies from Microsoft, and they have ruined the culture completely. In contrast to the product groups, infra has a climate of fear and outright bullying. People are leaving in droves, and nothing is getting done. I left after being bullied to the point where my health was affected. What should have been a dream job was a year long nightmare.

Good company for Democrats

Pros

Great salary and benefits. Free snacks and drinks in the break rooms. Many opportunities to give back to the community during work hours and donation matching grants.

Cons

This company's leaders is doing everything it can to ostracize conservative-minded employees and men. If you don't agree with "the company's" political agenda, you had best keep it to yourself or your career will take a hit.

Pros

Good work life balance. You'll never be looked at twice for taking PTO, working from home (within reason), or staying home when you're under the weather. If you're lucky, you'll work with some great people.

Cons

As top talent has increasingly fled, the incompetent engineers have more of a say and presence. And there are a lot of them. Way to many managers and directors compared to ICs. Many of them are more interested in building their 'empires' then the technology or their staff. Outdated technology. The work isn't that interesting, it takes forever to get anything done, and we're constantly swimming around our own technical debt which we never invest time in fixing. Cronyism, politics, and back room conversations run rampant.
