Pros

Individual contributors were collaborative and creative.

Cons

As long as you’re making your manager or leadership look good, you’ll be fine. But the second you need help or have an idea, you get a target on your back. There was also a lack of understanding of the customer despite customer interviews, teams were out of touch with the needs of the customer. Additionally, the same work got repeated over and over again because of lack of respect for those carrying out the original projects.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad to hear that you had a positive experience working with your peers while you were here. However, we're sorry to hear that you didn't have a more positive experience working with your manager and leadership. Our values are to create a supportive environment where we can bring our authentic selves, check our egos at the door, and work collaboratively, all in service of our customers. We understand the importance of innovation and diverse thoughts in driving our business forward. That said, it sounds like we may have fallen short in your experience. If team members are ever feeling a contradiction between our stated values and their personal experience at SimplePractice, we welcome and encourage them to share feedback directly with their manager or lead, or through various other channels, depending on the one that they're most comfortable with. We acknowledge there's always room for improvement and are actively addressing areas of concern, particularly in maintaining a strong connection with our customers' needs and ensuring that every team member's contributions are respected and valued. We appreciate you sharing your experience and wish you the best of luck on your career.

Pros

The core values of the company that they preach are really wonderful and great. The goal of the company to help people to help people their practices is the reason why I stayed as long as I did. You can also work from home which is nice.

Cons

They don't pay top of market like they suggest. They also say that they appreciate radical candor but really they don't. management wants you to be able to take radical candor, which ends up just being feedback that's given harshly. but anytime somebody questions the company and their values it's ignored. You won't move up in the company unless you are completely emotionless and if you are a white male. The pay ranges are wild for the same role. If you are applying for this job I would suggest upping your range when they ask for it.

Pros

- Amazing team. Depending on which subgroup your in, and your team lead, micromanagement is non existent. Always given the opportunity to provide feedback and improve current processes. Radical candor, direct feedback, and transparency valued once, however, things have changed. Hoping we’ll get back there again, to the SP Culture that we preach, - Good benefits with flexible time off - Pay is fair at best and by no means “above market”. - company does seem to care about work life balance and mental health as they provide ”wellness days” - management generally tries to do the right thing. They say the right things at least, (still waiting to see if they follow thru)

Cons

- lack of transparency from management - poorly executed pricing increase - Dog policy is listed is incorrect, Dogs are NOT allowed in office, and was told this will not change. - Pay is a bit low for the area, especially with cost of living in LA increasing . To put it in perspective, when you first started. I easily qualified for low income section 8 housing. Not a whole lot has changed Less and less mobility, internal transfer is getting much harder. Will make promises, the. Change their mind and pass you up with no explanation or feedback. After hearing about a few solid folks getting being blindsided and fired, can’t say I feel job security is there.
