Pros

Opportunities are ample within projects, and responsibility and accountability are delegated, too. Lots of scrum opportunities. Some great new products and technologies.

Cons

Not decentralized enough for growth. Some built-in barriers, and entrenched thinking, stymies chances for newcomers - both internal and external.

Pros

You are student or post-graduate and seeking for first job where you can get at least some experience and agree to get low salary and often boring job - you are always welcome. But don't forget to change company after 1-1.5 year to get professional growth.

Cons

Strong bureaucracy make your professional and especially financial growth very limited. Don't expect to get something more during few first years on SoftServe than you get in job proposal... Be prepared to participate in support projects with old technologies and a lot of low-quality code and be sold to customer as senior developer when you are only advanced junior or middle developer. SoftServe external rates mostly are low so probably on most projects you will be underpaid.

Pros

Some are really brilliant team members Interesting projects with challenging tasks Support on initiative improvements Mature processes established in a company

Cons

Underpaid Significantly lower rate during paid vacation No benefits Last time too many juniors not loaded with real work Regional development centers have poor overall company support Shifted work hours (US clients mostly), not good for one having family and kids
