Pros

Good support team out of India. Good inside support staff out of Milwaukee. Option to work from home, as they are too cheap to rent office space.

Cons

Current North American Leadership is super frugal and will not grant pay raises. Quotas are unreasonable and not negotiable. They use the high quotas, combined with the comp plan to deprive you of commissions. Leadership is always looking for ways to deprive you of compensation, so as to improve the bottom-line. In bed with KKR = Greed is Good. Losing tenured employees like crazy. Look at other competitors before you join here.

Hey - thanks for the candid feedback, it's appreciated. Really sorry you feel we are too cheap to rent office space - I think it's the opposite with offices in most major capital cities. The work from home flexibility is an intentional approach - we would actually love everyone to be in the office but have to find a balance as not everyone's needs are the same. I'm sorry you felt we did not grant pay rises in NORAM - being the global owner for comp I can truthfully say this is not accurate. We have a structured review process with the local leadership and then an additonal review with HR to ensure a fair and meritocratic approach. I know it is an emotional subject so happy to hear more why you feel it was not good for you so we can try to improve as a company. I have to completely disagree with you on the commission plan and quota setting- especially if I look at the number of people who over achieved in 2017. Agreed our commission plan has changed - BUT - it is an enabler of our future approach so if you are not embracing that change then yes of course you won't have the opportunity to earn as , but if you do, you can earn significantly more (as I hope you know we are one of the few companies that actually reviews our compensation with the employees every year to get their input on the plan). If you would like to discuss further, please don't hesitate to write to me directly - things can always get lost in written form so I would be happy to speak to you one to one at any time and in confidence. Thanks.,John.(john.mayes@softwareone.com).

Pros

Overall I like my peers and company values. Inside team tends to be pretty good. I like how it's a global company. Good reporting to pull on client's data. I do like the concept of the offerings and love the marketing, but that's where it stops.

Cons

Boys club in management. Our team went through 4 managers in 2 years in our territory, if you're not a yes man you're out. Each manager has different demands on priorities and getting nothing done. You will be asked to get rid of accounts you've grown to give to new reps, leads are very hard to come by. Most of the services are marketing concepts. It's very hard to get resources that are good in front of a client, if by chance you sell a project your resources end up leaving mid project . Clients will tell you our services are the most expensive in the industry. It's hard to make it past 2-3 years as a sales rep, only ones that stay longer are the old seasoned reps that have an established base of clients from new reps leaving. Yes even seasoned reps have a hard time hitting their numbers. We use to be partner friendly in the industry but not anymore, most partner relationships have ended due to us not wanting to pay anything on service referrals. It's hard to sell the solutions, you're fighting high costs, turnover resources, not a lot of flexibility from management, losing your accounts to other reps, constant changes in management. If you're in sales (unless you are in headquarters) just know your job here is temporary.

Treat their employees like children

Pros

Networking opportunities with multiple vendors and OEM's

Cons

Too many to count. They treat employees like they are children, with the inability to make decisions and the leadership is immature. It is not an equal opportunity employer, regardless of the multiple "SWO Culture" posters they have in the office or mantra. It's not a professional place to work and certainly not a good place to develop as a professional. STAY AWAY unless you need to be treated like an incapable child.
