Pros

Benefits! If you need benefits you can get them for literally 20 hours a week here. That's amazing. Free coffee, obviously amazing. The people who work here are usually fun!

Cons

The company is very micromanage-y unfortunately. You need to be comfortable sticking up for yourself and know what you can handle. Stores are very often not staffed well. Mornings can be very stressful as the company has been pushing more towards drive through times vs beverage quality. If you get this job thinking it will be a chill, easy way to get benefits...you'll be in for a shock. It's very fast paced and stressful...sometimes downright competitive for no reason at all. Don't get me wrong, it's fun! Just not an easy going, clock in clock out job. It's also owned by Nestle. If you don't know how bad that is, do some research and decide for yourself.

Pros

The health insurance and employee benefits are the best. Free spotify, free coffee, and free tuition through Arizona State! Also, they hire new and inexperienced people and do not discriminate

Cons

We were constantly understaffed. Starbucks wanted us to be quick, friendly, and keep the store clean, but it was not possible. The customers are also very rude, but that's at any job

Pros

Barristas get health insurance and tips.

Cons

For management, you must work an open, a mid and a close, which means you'll inevitably be required to clopen. A Clopen is where you close the store at 10, clean and close up by 11 pm, drive the allowed 1 hour home, and have to get back to the store by 4:30 to be able to open it by 5 am. That's working on 3 hours of sleep, and it can be expected on a regular basis. The DM actually had this conversation with my SM “One of your barristas has complained about you and you need to fix it”. “Who? I don't need to tell you that. And I won't tell you what the complaint was, but you need to fix it.” Completely ridiculous.
