Graduates Program in the US

Pros

Decent program -- but certainly not the greatest -- for a first job straight from undergrad. (If you have an advanced degree or some years of real work experience then don't bother unless reinsurance is really what you want to do.) Being an international corporation they still have better perks than most but of course those in the home office (Zurich) have it best.

Cons

Micromanaged by folks in Zurich who don't really care about US employees. The people who run the Graduates Program are HR types who care more about themselves the program itself -- they lie to you about long term opportunities. Treat everyone the same including those who have several years of experience.

Pros

Nice People wo work with, Lots of opportunity in Insurance and Client Mgmt. Work all over the World !!

Cons

Pig Headed Swiss / German Mentality !!! Beware when after a ReOrg, you find yourself working for Zurich all alone in the US. Same position not the same PTO.. 3 weeks in US vs 5 weeks in Europe
