Pros

Benefits. T-Mobile offers outstanding health insurance coverage, employee phone discount program, generous vacation accrual, and a 401k matching plan.

Cons

It really depends on what team you are on and the leadership on that team. This will be the main factor whether you love or hate your job. My current coach, senior rep, and manager lack the people skills to effectively manage a team. We are treated like robots and not individuals. Feedback is provided in very unprofessional manner. In able to provide world class customer service, the customer service reps need to be confident and need to be happy. Otherwise the customers will suffer. My teammates are walking on pins and needles because of all the pressure and high expectations placed on us.

Pros

The pay and benefits are in line with a company this size and field. The heavily discounted phones and service package are a pretty nice. Pretty good potential for personal/professional growth. After two years I seem to be hitting my stride and am beginning to have considerable influence. Seem to be weathering the 2008-2009 recession fairly well (so far at least)

Cons

Our cellular network sucks and the senior management seems to think that if they don't talk about it nobody will notice. Verizon and AT&T keep adding customers but we keep losing them. Middle management doesn't have a clue on how to provide decent feedback. I get quarterly "blue chips" that not only have no tasks assigned but don't even get a complete description. Yet my quarterly bonus and annual merit increase are assessed on these vague, subjective goals.
