Pros

Good place to work to add to your resume - good company reputation. Good opportunity to learn - TI = 'training institute' is the long-running joke. Nice college campus-like setting. Good sports/gym facilities. If you work in a lab or office you're likely to be allowed flexibility to change your schedule as needed to allow for family issues, school, children, etc (if in a fab, forget it).

Cons

The company culture doesn't exist - consider it a 'particular building you work in culture'. The feel and attitude of TI depends very much on which building you're in and who your boss is. There is very little to no direction from the top about how the day to day business is run so you may have a tyrant in one lab or fab or office and the most wonderful mgr on the next floor or fab. The way people are treated isn't directed from upper mgmt so you never know how you're experience will be until you're there.

Pros

1. Decent compensation, good benefits 2. Nice on-campus facilities - all advantages associated with working for a big company. 3. An informal work environment

Cons

1. Ruthless politics - especially inter-site politics like TI India vs TI Israel 2. Management lacks vision - the key reason for gradually losing out customers 3. Lack of technical competence among the senior management

Pros

1 . One of the biggest companies, if you dream about working 2. Good learning environment 3. Helps to grow personally 4. A good location for the salary

Cons

Cons Salaries, raises are too low compared to the effort. Preference is always questionable and gives no importance to the amount of effort and results. Seniority is a big thing, and does not encourage new hires in this regards. Not a good place to start your career, you will end up on the slowest salary curve, by the time you realize you are at a mid point of your career without any significant improvements. Not aggressive in business
