Pros

- well compensated, excellent training opportunities - excellent technical staff - good balance between work and life pressures - healthy work environment, little outrageous overtime expectations

Cons

- my group - which was eliminated in 2009 - had little focus or direction, no sales team, a marketing group which did not seem to do much other than 'work from home' and compile googled lists of news items concerning the group - a strange sense of stagnation and general 'life force' - potential business was pursued in the most lackadazical way - lost opportuniites - bad focus - timing was always off by a year or two - higher management was never there, frequently at the golf course, frequently mis-represented the group to their higher management -byzantine management politics; top heavy; difficult to get things done, I never had much clear direction or understanding of what excatly was expected from me, and when

Pros

Good benefits and salary, good amenities if in Dallas. Good efforts to communicate strategy to employees. Highly technical workforce. Engineering driven company

Cons

Poor managers. Dont raise issues, those who go with the flow are rewarded. Management and promotions are based on who you know, not what you know. Ethics is talked about alot but not followed.

Pros

- Smart people...one is aware he/she is working with some of the best minds in industry. - Competitive salary, given Dallas' cost of living - Stability

Cons

- TI could be better if it reduced some of the redundancy in terms of leadership. Too many levels of intermediate management. - Doesn't take as many risks in terms of new ventures
