Many of the tools are a pain to use, depending on your position. They are making steps to fix them, but the processes slow when dealing with a company this size.

Working at the chip level has some difficulties. There are different customers in different domains. Sometimes it is a great chance to leanr but sometimes hard to focus on different domains.

Highly motivated managers ;) food at cafeteria

- Company culture can be a little insulated and closed off compared to other semiconductor companies. It was common for managers to speak poorly of other competing companies and individuals who left for higher offers. -Some management is great!! But many got promoted as the market organically grew post Great Recession and probably should have stayed individual contributors

Some managers are very bad and compensation compared to industry average is abysmal. Also very political if you want to go into business role. Very poor stock bonuses for engineers and seems only senior business leads enjoy this. Even though engineers are the ones doing the work of design and verification

Pay is only comparable to other companies due to the profit sharing. If company has a down year, the salary will be below average for the industry.
