Pros

Large established infrastructure worldwide, good benefits in the US.

Cons

Just like leaders of many other publicly traded companies TI managers are mostly focused on impressing investors. This culture spreads through all levels of the company. It does not matter what you do, it only matters what your boss think you do. The company has very few innovative products. Product designed decades ago generate most of the revenue.

Pros

Good in working environment and benefit wise, even with a sports complex.

Cons

Demanding (certain Dept.) that causes stress. High expectations, strict managers and loads of task that employees hardly utilize the sports complex. Hardly achive balance between work and life, some employees even stay in the office/plants for more than 12 hours.

Pros

Good pay and benefits for more senior positions. Good people at the staff level. Good functional managers. Small teams feels like smaller company.

Cons

Don't work for a remote design center -- first to get axed. Total lack of cooperation across business units. Sales people running a technology company ... not a good idea.

Pros

Texas Instruments India provides and excellent work culture where the folks around you are supporting and managers take good care. The work culture fuels innovation in you and helps grow in the organization. Technical contribution is seen very positively.

Cons

Sometimes i feel that Texas Instruments India has lots of unnecessary managers and reporting structure becomes very hierarchical.

Pros

TI is one of the most ethical companies in the world. It is also one of the few companies that gives substantial profit sharing to all employees. Telecommuting is encouraged.

Cons

Too many reorgs. In my division, these basically halted progress for a week or more at a time, and new managers rarely understood the accomplishments and capabilities of their "new" employees.

Pros

Compensation is per industry average, high performers and managers are paid very well Benefits are one of the best in semiconductor industry, takes good care of its employees. No system of punching/punching out..so flexi-time. Good gym and sports facilities Good infrastructure within the office..more or less everything is streamlined. Strong focus on ethics..maybe one of the most ethical companies in this industry. Very good company to work for if your skill set matches with what the company is looking for!

Cons

Almost everyone is a good performer...promotions are very tough as compared to other companies..too much competition. Career growth will never be great..though salary increments might be good. Lot of variation in pay within the same job grade... Like most other MNCs, the career opportunities if you are working in US for the same company are better compared to in India.
