Investigate the Executive Leaders... PLEASE.

Pros

Got out alive, but barely.

Cons

The poster children for conflict of interest at every turn. The level of mismanagement, unethical behavior, and gaslighting is unbelievable. The leaders (and how they got where they are) need to be investigated. If I were CEO, I would be very concerned by the fact that the leaders are not even close to qualified--yet have astronomical salaries, which is why Trevor can't get through a year without multiple layoffs. Yet not one of them have been affected. is bleeding money. I don't know why this crew hasn't been investigated- because there are numerous complaints about their behavior. The catch is, the perpetrators are either doing the investigating or overseeing the investigators, so they are untouchable.

WARNING: A deeply sociopathic and dishonest organization

Pros

Trauma bonding with high-level employees who have often left golden handcuffs for mission-driven work

Cons

There's no use roasting Trevor - the rest of the reviews do it better. However, let this serve as a huge red flag. The organization will often hire for roles will knowing full-well they will potentially be laid off within months. Think twice if leaving a role at a functional company for a job with The Trevor Project. You may find yourself burned.

Pros

The organization's mission is crucial, and its services are essential. Many employees at the lower levels are dedicated and hard-working.

Cons

Frequent layoffs, a lack of support and appreciation for employees, and corrupt or incompetent leadership at the executive and board levels.
