Pros

benefits, some pay rates-based on your degree

Cons

Must use a very rigid call flow to sell to each and every person you speak to- missing one of these steps will get you a ticket to the unemployment line! "team leaders" don't know the job so they are worthless- there is a union, they collected dues out of each of my checks but did NOTHING to support or aid in saving my job. Upper management is as clueless as they come- riding around on a segway while the reps talk angry call after call- its non stop you don't get a breathe between calls! You get "personal time" to use the restroom- if you go over 10 minutes, they actually come looking for you! Its all dog eat dog and sell something whatever means necessary. Also there is a real problem with favoritism, if you didn't make your goal, your "team leader" didn't know you were alive. Asking for support or additional training to improve was also asking for your walking papers.

Pros

Great pay and health benefits

Cons

Most of the managers didn’t know how to do the jobs they supervised so they couldn’t help with problems. Supervisors threatened to fire people constantly and targeted certain folks regardless of work performance. Very loud environment (like a constant party or club atmosphere) which made it difficult to hear your customers on the phones. Sales goals were astronomical. Managers knew about crooked practices by some consultants to meet the sales goals but just let it slide. Lack of integrity and ethics.

Pros

good pay, benefits and bonus

Cons

Bad hours, goes by seniority and most people have been there for many years so any new person works the worst shifts for many years.
