Pros

I love the environment and flexibility to adjust my schedule with hybrid work. I use Gympass as a product too and love it. Payment is fair and you have chances to grow.

Cons

Some processes take too long, and we have many meetings.

Gympass believes in the power of flexibility and ownership - we trust our employees to operate in ways that support their own needs, those of their colleagues, and the business. This way of working empowers each employee. We understand that meetings can cut into focus time, and that asynchronous alignment can be equally effective in many situations. We encourage you to speak openly with your team when you feel your presence at a meeting may not make sense, or when you feel a meeting isn't the best way to build consensus. All Gympassers are encouraged to be leaders, and this includes feeling empowered to suggest a different way of doing things.

- Base salary could be higher - Teams and projects sometimes feel a bit out of sync - Teams don't really use a project management methodology, which makes it harder for us to connect initiatives - Career plan is not too defined in my area

In terms of project management, we have deployed the RASCI framework company-wide to promote clear ownership, accountability, and progress for projects. If you have ideas of other methodologies that would work well in your specific team or area, we encourage you to share your thoughts with your manager. About career pathing - Gympass is currently working on several initiatives in this area. For example, we are in the midst of creating clear competency matrices for each department, to provide employees with a clear understanding of what skills are expected at each level. We also encourage employees to have open conversations with their managers about goals and growth on a regular cadence, as well as through their Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
