Pros

Great culture. Company does put a lot into this. Fantastic people and learn a lot from genuine industry experts. This can't be stressed enough. Gold standard products. The best around. Company strategy is clear and direction of travel exciting. Just need to pull it off.

Cons

Pay is undercooked. Feeling that old school WoodMackers are somehow a problem when in fact we built the successful shop and brand. Sometimes feel that new Execs think shiny new hires are better - maybe but they ain't done nothing yet! Back the people who know the products rather than folks you've hired from competitors!

Pros

Sometimes there is coffee in the lunch room

Cons

Raises that are half of the cost of living increase, and bonuses that are less than a normal paycheck. Global "Leadership" Team that wouldn't be qualified to be a shift lead at Taco Bell. A CEO who just acts as a mouthpiece for Veritas Capital. Benefits that were great by 2019 standards, but abysmal compared to current industry standards. (And even worse for new employees) This company was great when I first started, but has quickly become not only a laughing stock of the industry it's in, but a depressing s-show for employees. Our HR is more worried about "increasing glass glassdoor scores" than listening to employees. Mass layoffs, and watching coworkers and friends get escorted out by some Temu-rented security. Almost all of whom went to direct competitors. If you want to work in this industry, just skip this place all together.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We hear your concerns and take the feedback you've given seriously. This isn’t the experience we aim to create for our people. We understand that topics like compensation & benefits and organisational change have an impact on how colleagues feel about the company. Our commitment to our people, our purpose, and our values remains central to how we operate. We take feedback like this seriously, and we’d value the opportunity to better understand your experience. If you’re open to continuing the conversation, please do speak to your line manager and/or HRBP so we can follow up appropriately.
