Pros

Terrific colleagues who are intelligent and passionate as well as kind to one another. The Institute listens to its employees and is making efforts to diversify. The institute is increasingly empowering experts in the global offices (as opposed to USA) to lead on a global level.

Cons

Very crowded at the top with egoistic experts who consume opportunities that would otherwise encourage junior colleagues to grow. Feels like you can't complain about the attitudes and behaviors of higher ups because they're famous/thought leaders/WRI's bread and butter. The pay is truly terrible and it takes a long time to move up the ladder. You need impressive degrees to work here, but you'll never be able to pay them off if you do.

Pros

A good place to work with colleagues committed to positive global impact.

Cons

Nothing one wouldn't expect from any large nonprofit.
