Pros

The pros of working in sales at the Xerox Corporation is that they really do foster an environment of learning. I would recommend Xerox to any college graduate looking to get some experience.

Cons

Currently, the cons outweigh the pros, commissions are down about two thirds from 2010. Machines are worth less than what they used to be worth. There is a huge emphasis on out-looking and they look at every single deal with a magnifying glass. The main con though is that Xerox is more worried about revenue then their customers. In the past, there were many advantages that Xerox held over the competition that gave sales an edge in closing deals, especially the Total Satisfaction Guarantee (TSG). The TSG is the first note in the terms and conditions and states that the customer decides when it is time to change out a machine due to non-performance, but now Xerox is much more conservative when it comes to allowing customers to get replacements. Also, the company refuses to pay for Christmas parties, team lunches, and coffee. Duh... the cost of a cup of coffee is less than the amount of money you lose when I have to take time out of my day to find coffee.

Pros

Entry level pay is standard for a customer service representative at about $10/hr You meet some nice people at work Its normally a pretty safe environment to work

Cons

Xerox has become a vendor site for a lot of companies such as Aetna and Sprint. The customer service representatives they hiring are not the top of the line candidates. They are constantly late with paychecks and numerous employees have been charged with contempt of court due to Xerox not completing paperwork in a timely manner for deduction or child support orders. Xerox also doesn't work with your schedule.
