Pros

1. Nice downtown office 2. Good work life balance 3. Great benefits package 4. Talented coworkers 5. Good perks, free snacks, drinks, lunch

Cons

Not I can think of now. Maybe the company should consider to provide free dinner for those who plan to work at night. It seems that I should at least write down 20 words.

Thank you for the nice review! Re: dinner - occasionally when there is a big launch and people are staying late, we'll provide dinner (and if you have to stay late and it's not provided, you can expense it). But I would much rather you go home and have a life outside of the office in the evenings! Work/life balance is important. - Amy (COO)

Pros

This place is a joke. Worst place I have ever worked toward the end of my employment. They want loan officers to pay for credit reports, appraisals and give back entire commissions on loans that payoff early or default and this comes out of your pay dollar for dollar.

Cons

I could go on and on. Seems like owners are trying to grow the company way to quickly to sell the business as there is a clear cycle of disregard for what continues to happen.

We are sorry that your experience at Mortgage Lenders of America did not meet your expectations. We do wish you the very best in future career endeavors. To clarify, the only time you would be paying the cost of an appraisal would be if a file was originated against policy by ordering that appraisal without first collecting borrower funds. This would be the same case for credit reports that exceed the report budget. These are common practices in the industry. We are confident we have the best compensation package in the business with great leads and awesome management support. As other reviews reflect, we are very dedicated to supporting a positive environment with limitless opportunity for income and success!

Pros

The benefits from Zillow as the mother company are great. Benefits, maternal leave, free snacks, paid lunches.

Cons

The leadership in Lincoln is horrible. There is a large difference between the Seattle Zillow culture and Lincoln office culture. There are a few in roles who do not have the proper education/experience. I along with others have been doing Account Management work for over a year with no promotion (After being told this would happen.) When the office worries more about the beer in the Keg dispenser than the customers, you know there is a problem.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm very sorry to hear you've had such a disappointing experience in the Lincoln office. You certainly don't describe the type of office culture and performance standards we expect from our team. I would love to understand more about the poor customer support, manager experience, and unprofessional things you reference so we can make sure to fix anything we find. I'd encourage you to reach out either to me directly or to the Lincoln office HR Business Partner (MeghanB) and we can work with you to make sure your concerns are addressed. Please help us make this better for you! - Erin Lantz, VP, Mortgages
