I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Bloomberg (Tokio) in Jun 2011
Interview
Interviewer was a Japanese woman and we did the interview half in Japanese and half in English. The company sounded as they have great working environment and colleagues, but when interviewing it seemed as they turned into different people and tried to press the interviewee. This uncomfortable vibe didn't only come out from my interviewer but also from all other interviewers too. Since the interviewer knew I do not have any financial knowledge, she didn't ask me any financial questions, but her questions were so vague and even hard to understand.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg in Jul 2011
Interview
Had a quick phone interview first, took about 10 min where they asked me very basic questions regarding my resume, interests, what I knew about the company and current financial news. I was then invited to an in-house interview where I first shadowed two analysts and then had an interview with 2 mangers from sales and analytics. Very similar questions as in the first interview but more in depth. After that I had an additional 2 interviews where I was asked the same questions yet again though even more specific and detailed. Read up on the company, ask questions and be enthusiastic and confident. I think that goes a long way.
