Morphing into typical sales driven company

Pros

3Pillar has good, dedicated people. Freedom to work from anywhere is unmatched. Salary and Benefits are good.

Cons

In the last 2 years the company has changed their focus from building great products to just moving the numbers forward. Value of people is going down every quarter. IMHO a large leadership turnover is the cause. In last 1 year the company has lost the head of sales, head of product, head of engineering and CFO. The new leaders come from bigger enterprises.

Pros

1. Flexible timing 2. WFH facility 3. Good work life balance 4. Onsite opportunity 5. New office is awesome

Cons

1. Appraisal and goal process keeps changing every year 2. It seems sometimes top management not able to handle client pressure and react too much and creates pressurized environment for juniors even when juniors are doing good work

Thank you for endorsing the work-life balance and the new office! We agree with you on the issue of working pressure. While there will be ebbs and flows in the work environment, we always want our engineering leaders to take the pressure while the team has the right environment to perform. An engineering leader is anyone who has people reporting to her/him. You are also right in your observation that there have been changes in the appraisal process. We understand that it is painful when the expectations are not communicated in time. However, we want to continually make sure that our review processes (like goals & appraisals) are fair to our team members and make the organization stronger from within. While we always try to communicate the changes well in advance, we will take feedback from other employees and if it resonates, we will definitely look into it
