Pros

Pay is above average. Opportunity for increase & advancements if you speak up what your needs are. Management is fair. Managers are nice and supportive except for a couple of not so good ones but left the company soon after informed of Lay off.

Cons

Communication needs improvement. There are employees who are motivated, hardworking & determined to learn the industry and do well but the resources aren’t clear, organized & confusing. Need managers who are patient, empathetic & willing to help employees learn & do well. Afterall, customer service is the what makes the company. Company’s like AIG/Corebridge Financial need to stop sending the jobs off shore! AMERICA NEEDS THE JOBS IF ITS GOING TO SERVIVE. The customers are telling you they do NOT like speaking to reps outside of the country & handling their money.

Pros

- good 401k match - decent benefits - you will feel great and pumped up when you leave the company. If you can get out of this mess, then you can get out of any mess. You will gain self-confidence knowing that you can do it.

Cons

- Worst comp. - No raises at year end - No promotions. They always hire from outside instead of promoting their own. - If you work too many years at AIG, you might become unemployable. - Stuck in 1980s work style - New leadership comes and makes some noise which adds zero value to the company. - These guys are like big time losers because they don't learn from their mistakes - They try to go far away from technology to save pennies. And then end up losing in long term because they are inefficient.

Pros

Benefits are good, you start off with 24 PTO days (sick time is included in that), 6% 401k match + additional 3%, health insurance is reasonably priced, etc.

Cons

AIG is a sinking ship. No one is happy, everyone is overworked and underappreciated. They give 0 increases, not even for inflation. Your hard work is NOT rewarded and management will tell you to look for a new job externally if you want a raise. Don't expect to be with the company for more than 2 years, there are people that have been there for over 5 years with no raise at all in that time. You need to leave if you want your career to flourish.
