Pros

With immediate management flexibility, could work part-time VO.

Cons

High percentage of IT work in some areas is done by contract workers. Because of time limits on contracts, there is a lot of staff changes. Temporary workers get no raises during the contract (sometimes they try to decrease rates though) and no recognition. Hit or miss whether a temporary worker will be able to be hired permanently. Permanent management employees have to take training for strike duty and must be on call in case of a strike. Then once threat of strike is over, more layoffs will ensue.

Pros

Great opportunity. You learn a lot from your co-workers and really grow as a person and a manager. They spend a ton of money on you -$135,000 per person! This money is spent on the salary, paid furnished apartment, rental car/hotel while you're out of town. Experts are brought in to teach you. It's great.

Cons

At&t is one of the oldest most respected companies, but they are so rigid in their practices that it reminded me of Office Space. My boss actually used to go up to me and say "If you could do that that would be grrreeaaat." It's an unreal amount of work too. Lack of leadership from management really makes some of the days drag

Pros

If you want a pay check every 2 weeks work here.

Cons

customers do not matter only AT&T processes, managers give rules, then break them themselves, you can't be your unique self, you can't be creative, you must be a robot.
