Pros

- Fast-paced work environment; sink or swim for some, fake it til you make it for most - Insight into a Fortune 200 company turned failing, aging technology firm struggling to adapt - Working with Google, Walmart, and Amazon was interesting - A curiously simple entry into Business Intelligence

Cons

- Field Partners are mostly ignorant of business analytics by design - It's practically Game of Thrones meets The Office in real life - Employees constantly operate in fear of losing their jobs - Unwritten rules exist, i.e., must work 50hrs promotion consideration, must come in before 8a, must stay later or work weekends - DISH is not a remote business until it is hacked and management asks you to use personal devices for business purposes on a compromised network - Management keeps score as well as I did for this review

Pros

I struggle to find anything positive to say

Cons

they micromanage every word you say on the phone, every minute of when you clock in, clock out, take your breaks, and more. Furthermore, they pushed us so hard to the point of frustrating people to tears on the line with us, to keep them from canceling an outdated antiquated service when people wanted to go for streaming instead. The management have no life experience and no management experience, and the amount of nepotism and petty behavior amongst these children managers was bitter, scorekeeping, chastising, power-play games, and massively stressful and unhealthy. senior managers are very stressed to make numbers and that rolls downhill exponentially. I had to check in with my manager with each rejection the customer would want to legitimately put forward when trying to put that customer onto a new contract. Furthermore, there are individual agents that cheat the system with the help of management to make excessive amounts of money. There was a lot of drug use, sabotaging, under the table favors and more. It was a very toxic environment. The turnover rate was somewhere close to about 80 or 90% within the first two months for agents. And very understandably.

Pros

Opportunity to get involved and own items that usually require decades of experience.

Cons

Healthcare is bottom tier, badge report permeates the lack of trust the C-suite has in their people, constant pressure to adapt and change while sacrificing essentially all free time including weekends to the company, canceled vacations due to fake deadlines from know-nothing VP's seeking Chairman praise, you will work yourself to exhaustion or stroke and still not get promoted year after year, even if you're consistently 'exceeds expectations'.
