Pros

The culture of the company is unlike others in the industry. True dedication and involvement from the top down. Great pay and benefits. Career advancement and opportunities based on the a merit system. Respect and concern for the employees. Flexibility in your works schedule. Great perks such as discounts on air travel, retail stores and shops. Great Senior management!! Recognition for a job well done. Constant training opportunities to enhance your ability for other career paths. In closing this company has been around less than 40 years and is by far the best transportation company to work for in Sales.

Cons

Some of the internal network issues can hinder the overall performance.

Pros

Global scope of company, good benefits

Cons

Too large, bureaucratic. Pretends to be a global company, but really is U.S. based company out of Memhis.

Pros

Company culture is great, very positive towards customers and employees. We're all in it together. The old "absolutely, positively" ethic is still alive at FedEx. Cost of living is low compared to pay for the Memphis area locations. Benefits are good, especially work life balance. My manager always says, "Work to live, don't live to work." FedEx is one of the largest shipping companies in the world, so we get to work on some of the largest, most interesting business challenges in the world.

Cons

FedEx (and its divisions) are a very large, mature company. Bureaucracy is the norm for large companies. It is easy to get lost in the masses. Advancement opportunities can be hard to find in many parts of the corp, unless you have a senior manager champion who wants you promoted. There is an entrenched good-old-boy network which can be hard to crack. Look out if/when Fred Smith retires.
