Pros

FedEx Services is the IT, marketing and sales subsidiary of FedEx Corporation that supports the major FedEx operating companies, including FedEx Express, FedEx Ground and FedEx Kinko's. Cons

With our roots and core businesses in air and ground transportation, FedEx and its business performance are highly vulnerable to fluctuations in oil and fuel costs. In periods of escalating energy prices, FedEx -- like many businesses -- must manage costs very carefully and adjust short- and long-term priorities accordingly. Although FedEx has long adhered to an unofficial "no layoff" policy, this often leads to the discontinuation of many projects in mid-stream. While FedEx revenues are increasingly global, our core domestic express business has reached a plateau of maturity and is facing additional headwinds from the U.S. economy and a weaker U.S. dollar that limits demand for imports in the United States.

Pros

I have many reasons for working at Fedex. The pay is good and raises are much better then working for a DHL company (which I have). Which that brings me to the point of how much better Fedex is then DHL or UPS. The work conditions are great! Management knows how to do their jobs and because they start at the bottom, they know how to do your job as well! That says a lot there. At DHL they hired their management from outside. Nobody likes to be told how to do their job by someone that has never done your job! But most important is the chance to work on and around great aircraft and equipment with no prior experiance!

Cons

The only downside is that you start out part time and getting to full time status is hard due to a lack of full time jobs.
