Pros
Friendly atmosphere and since it is a chat center there is more opportunity for communication with fellow coworkers. No sales.
Cons
The expectations for performance were unreasonable for a $10/hr job. Once the "honeymoon period" of the new center wore off the true colors came out. Career advancement was promised but after the first wave of hires, no one else was promoted for over 9 months despite the constant need for more QA and support staff. Goal posts were constantly moved and what you accelled at one month was no longer important the next month and you could be close to being fired within three weeks even when you were still doing the same quality of work. Integrity and honesty didn't matter as long as the scores were high. I could have 25 chats in one day, if only 9 left surveys, and if one was a no/yes rather than a yes/yes, that would mean a fail for the day regardless of the nature of the chat that failed. This is a revolving door job and the management doesn't care. I guess when you only pay $10/hr anyone had a shot to fail.
