- amazing reputation in the design industry - build strong connections with vendors, consultants, and clients - forward thinking design and design strategy - great internal resources and opportunities to learn programs and be involved in design community

Cons

- all too common to feel undervalued and under appreciated - accolades and promotions given to those who play the corporate and political game and not based on strong talent - culture centered on youth. Environment can feel toxic and unhealthy to individuals who chose to put their family and personal well-being before the company - work life balance is challenging. Trying to achieve work life balance is incredibly stressful. - the company often feels like a machine and you are a cog in the wheel - hard to be successful if you have a family. You risk sacrificing the wellbeing of your family and your mental health to excel

Great friendships can be formed.

Cons

Gensler has made staff cuts due to the pandemic. The staff that remains is still expected to pick up the work of a larger team while being discouraged from billing those hours. This has resulted in massive burnout. 80 hours of work for 40 hours of pay only lasts for long.
