Pros

Incredible wide ranging global projects

Cons

One of the most unsupportive, stuck up, gossipy offices to work. They talk bad about previous EA's and current colleagues. Gensler preaches about having the best workplaces/culture but it's actually one of the worst I've experienced in my career. Also the pay isn't competitive. Instead of focusing on the exciting projects and collaborating positively together like other A/E/C firms, Gensler's culture is cliquey, competitive (not 'flat' structured), and toxic. If you have valuable EA experience in the A/E/C industry don't bring it to Gensler, especially the LA office. There are by far better Architecture Firms out there where you will feel respected, valued and supported.

Pros

Honestly I can’t really think of any unless you like working in a coffin. The office is a tasteless white box.

Cons

First of all the people are all mostly new and from what I’ve seen very unpleasant to work with. There are a lot of egos with some of the senior staff. They recently hired back a large amount of people after firing everyone during the pandemic. The teams are all frazzled because everyone is overworked. No one had time to meet or do anything other then respond to client fire drills.

Pros

Great clients, great network of colleagues at other offices to reach out to for their expertise. Great admin group i who really help make the office a positive environment.

Cons

Horrible, weird passive aggressive management, constantly need to make them look good to advance in your career. Once your a favorite associate, senior associate or principal you are bulletproof. All wrong doings are forgiven as long as you continue to make them money.
