Lots of talented people. Very evolved business and management systems. You can build a great network there with tine.

Cons

Talented people come and go frequently. Systems dedicated to improving the quality of work take a back seat to the business side of things. Leadership is always in transition. LA CEO has a very large ego and is insecure.

Pros

At Gensler you have access to a lot of tools that make the job easy. In addition to maybe working on some interesting projects. The culture is great and the people are great. The concept and idea of Gensler is great but lacks connection to the end.

Cons

You have to fight for what you get if you haven't been anointed by upper leadership. They often talk a lot about career growth and that you can direct that growth. This isn't true from what I found. My experience was often filled with pandering language and empty promises. Also, many people are hired with false ideas of what they are going to do. For example they are told that they will have a lot of opportunities to design. They mean you can do details for another person's design.

Great like minded people to work with, good for making connections and creating friendships.

Cons

Firstly I was grossly underpaid. I worked under someone who constantly emotionally abused me and gaslighted me. The leadership knew about it and had received complaints from MANY other employees and clients yet they didn't do anything. I was there for years and nothing changed. HR was not helpful at all, they in ways made things worse. To gensler you are just a replaceable employee...they do not care about you even if you have been there for years. Save your mental health and do not work here.
