Pros

The people were usually sharp and dependable. Camaraderie is pretty strong and you can make good friends here.

Cons

Partners and management do not seem to be very connected with/interested in the needs/complaints of associates. They stiff people on raises and bonuses every opportunity they get and cut costs anywhere possible. You will routinely work 70+ hours during busy season and it's just expected that you should suffer. Sometimes some people work 100 hour weeks while others work 50, and very few people see to care about making sure that everyone is pulling their weight and sharing the load equally.

Pros

Good people, good culture, strong values which are generally exhibited. Their target clientele are "Mid-Market" which is growing and dynamic. Interesting work and generally have the means and autonomy to do good work

Cons

As a traditional Audit and Tax company, they are at an inflection point. They have taken steps to embrace Consulting work, but the majority of the Partners are still Auditors so when it comes to changing policy, prioritizing work and allocating resources, they are stuck in the past. Hitch your wagon to a rising -star Partner, or get cast aside. Old-boy network lives on.

Good, growing, changing company. Both good and bad projects.

Pros

GT as a whole has a great culture.. but each office/service line has its own which can vary drastically. Flex time off benefit is amazing. Some projects are very cool. The company's smaller size and constant change opens the door for young employees to make an impact.

Cons

The constant change & smaller size also has cons - things are simply not as organized and well setup as other top professional firms. There are certain office cultures (Bellevue) that are toxic. The company does a poor job at removing terrible managers which as a result pushes away great talent. Note - all of this is service line specific.
