Pros

Inmar is very responsive to hard-working, ambitious employees. The company promotes from within when there are viable candidates for openings given strong interest and initiative have been shown by those employees. Our new offices in downtown WS are spectacular, and the only negatives I can imagine would come from employees that find the new set up difficult for coasting rather than working. Once you have gained trust from your peers and managers, the working environment can be very flexible, definitely a big perk. The company provides a lot of added value to employees through extra training opportunities, social events to engage employees and a strong focus on wellness programs. Our executive management team is truly a group of business geniuses.

Cons

High and increasing workloads is starting to create employee burnout throughout the ranks. Inmar is great at helping employees promote themselves in their career path, so to a degree this only expedites some employees' desired growth. However, there needs to be a fair expectation among all employees to hold their own weight. I have seen countless situations in multiple departments where the majority of the workload falls on the minority. There have been a lot of changes at Inmar since I began 5 years ago. Most of these seem positive, but constant changes in management and thus direction/focus can not only derail positive experiences for our clients but also create a very high-pressure work environment. This environment breeds feelings of job instability and is leading to many valued employees looking elsewhere for employment. Inmar lacks enough IT resources to keep up with demand and ensure seamless service to clients. This creates a lot of additional work, not just for IT, but ops, sales, call center, etc.

I Hate Going to Work Every Day

Pros

Some of the people are great to work with but they are slowly leaving the company.

Cons

Inmar is not the same company it was since new CEO David Mounts took over. The family atmosphere is long gone. They have moved way too fast into new services without a clue how to deliver. They have made digital promotions such a priority, pushing to sell but don't even have a department or trained, knowledgeable people to handle the clients. Sell it now and worry about how we are going to do it later. People change roles so fast that no one can keep up with who is doing what job. Very unorganized, lack of communication and processes. Some employees have double the workload they had a few years ago, where some have nothing to do. Expectations are very different for some. I honestly don't know why some people show up for work. Inmar could just mail their paycheck to them since they do nothing all day. Some associates are allowed to work from home, while others are not. Many associates work far less than 8 hours a day. They come and go as they please while others are working 10-12 hour days. They fired a lot of the good people that gave many years of dedication to the company and replaced them with young people who have no experience and are just there to climb the ladder. Most of the long time people at the executive level have left or gotten fired. They hired people in other states, working from home who have no clue. They sit at home all day and collect a fat paycheck. Those who have been with the company a long time are the ones doing all of the work. The new employees don't have a clue what they are doing and spend all of their time on committees and taking leadership classes. Inmar received tax incentives in exchange for providing 200 jobs to Winston Salem but they failed to disclose that they fired a lot of people to make room for those "new" jobs. The new corporate office is a joke. Inmar spent over $60 million dollars and most employees hate the new building and location. The new building was not needed. The CEO just wants prestige and to look good in the industry. I know many associates who are actively pursuing other jobs. It is so sad that a once great place to work ,with dedicated employees who loved their job has come to this. I used to love my job but now I hate coming to work.

Scary Times

Pros

Benefits are good especially the insurance. Vacation is average. Some of the old school folks are extremely nice.

Cons

Unequal inclement weather policy - if you have a laptop you can work from home, if you don't, you can risk your life. To be successful, VPs, directors and managers are expected to worship C-level and follow blindly and most do. C-level tends to be very snobbish and expects adoration as there are many vanity projects. The company's celebration included executives handing out $20 to employees who entertained them during the party. Professional adults acting silly to get $20. The message: You are here for our entertainment. There were no VPs, directors or managers to stand up and say this is a bad idea. Low morale. I believe my department head would do anything asked of them no matter how degrading. Be ready to conform - don't have different ideas. 24/7 work expectation without compensation to match. Associates told to use back entrance all the time.
