Pros

Offers a great chance for personal growth. The goal of the organization is to have top notch data and analysis, and the training and infrastructure of the organization are very well organized to deliver this. A great opportunity to do work that you can be proud of.

Cons

While the upper management and program organization during a period of growth is doing great, the mid-management outside of New Haven isn't. The capacity for data collection and analysis is great, but not for employee safety or satisfaction. While it is a very respected organization among those who know it, its not well known outside of its branch of academia.

Good for internships

Pros

If interested in gaining experience with STATA and doing statistical work, an internship here would be a good opportunity. Possibilities to connect with economists, who specialise in impact evaluation, is great.

Cons

Interns do not get paid.
