Pros

As an intern, I appreciated the laid-back work environment, as well as the fact that I was doing meaningful work for the organization that was making an immediate difference in clients' lives.

Cons

Communication among departments seemed poor; I was too frequently given conflicting instructions by representatives of multiple departments.

Pros

The work setting is cordial and it is a great learning experience, depending on your supervisor. Staff is overall eager to help upcoming humanitarians.

Cons

The supervisor gave busy work sometimes and did not help plan much for my timetable - despite proactivity. I actually left earlier during the day on some days given my work habits. Volunteers in dep. did the same work.
