Pros

none none none none none

Cons

IF you think, your whole world is only for Language line, then you can work for them, also IF: 1. You need to be very healthy, that means you can't be sick for more than 40 hours a YEAR 2. You don't care about how low you get paid. 3. You don't care if your questions will be answered. 4. You don't care you will be treated miserably. 5. You don't care you will be questioned when you have emergencies.

Pros

obviously it's convenient to work from home, saving time and money and the hassle of commuting, ongoing support with technical troubleshooting, intuitive interpreter portal that is easy to navigate, a wealth of resources in the proprietary Library available to all interpreters 24/7, observations sessions by amazing Senior Linguist staff which are always genuinely intended to assess and improve performance with objective and constructive feedback, ability to pick up extra hours

Cons

Compulsory change from over the phone to video interpreting, once a paychecks reflected over a $100 less than actually earned, took over a month to get Payroll to respond and fix the issue, but there was not a hint of an apology for shorting the interpreter, this incident makes it necessary to count all minutes for every day to ensure that you're getting paid for all the time you've worked and takes around 2 hours to tally up; while you do get 80 hours of Unpaid Time Off, there is absolutely NO paid time off/vacation time, you get 40 hours sick time for FT, and 20 hours sick pay for part time employment per year, no health insurance for PT
