Work from home. No need to travel.

Cons

There is no "direct" supervisor. Work load is very heavy. You are on your own most of time, but there is QA person will come and check on you periodically, which you have to pass both customer and interpretation part soon, or you will be in trouble. Lack of support for interpreters. I am grateful during the time I worked for them and I have the job. But I don't think they cared about their workers. We are just a number to them.

Pros

Working from home is a huge advantage. Not only does this reduce the money needed to work there but gives a lot more flexibility and freedom and eliminates any time and money wasted commuting (which can be considerable in some cases) Staying proficient in your language(s). This job has helped me keep up and better my language knowledge and provides good mental exercise which I think is very important. Opportunities to learn about different topics. With the wide variety of calls, you will gain knowledge on many subjects. Set schedule. Once your schedule is established it is set and remains the same with the opportunity to work additional hours as the need arises. Pay always on time and regular. Variety. You never know what to expect day to day as to the type of call or how busy of a day it will be. Sense of purpose. This job can be very rewarding if you enjoy helping others.

Cons

The biggest con I have would be the pay, which is still not bad all things considered. I have other sources of income so the income from this job for me is extra but if it were my only source of income I would want it to pay more. This said, the set schedule easily allows you to do other things during your day (which I do).
