      Good and bad

      Pros

      You get to broaden your vocabulary, and to learn about different topics. Also, are there no direct supervisors, which is cool. The best thing is you only need to be a good interpreter to meet the metrics. I am talking about LL Costa RIca.

      Cons

      Salary wise...not that good. Besides the entry salary is relatively low (for an interpreter), the company has a no-salary-raise policy. There are growth opportunities but your income, as good as it gets, will remain the same. Also, at least in CR Heredia, the facilities are not in the best conditions, and the call center area itself is warehouse like. There are no windows, for you to see the outside. They have told me it is different in Cartago though. Finally, there are almost no added benefits. They only give you private medical insurance, which is good, but most call centers do. No added values, and not a good cafeteria...

      Work at home. Good way to start learning about interpreting.

      Cons

      Very low pay. This is good for anyone getting into the field for first time. Better companies out there that you dont need to be scheduled. No insurance worthwhile.
