Pros

Decent pay for the job performed. Benefits are comparable to most companies in the area/field. Work versus life schedule is good.

Cons

Does - DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE EMPLOYEE - cant emphasis this enough. Cheap, inablility to create and maintain the simpleest of processes, year after year. MKS idea of a "Bonus" is a ice cream cup. ( actual a true statement ) Employee moral is VERY VERY low and most are dissatisfied by the top reaping gains year after year and not recognizing the individuals. Everyday is a complaint fest. Consistant shut downs (no pay), example last shut down company gave a bonus of three vacation days and in the same email gave a shut down of 5 bussiness days.

Pros

- Provides extremely stable employment - Knowledgeable and competent R&D team - Profitable even in tough business conditions - Great benefits, especially insurance and vacation time policy - Most of the people are very friendly - Good middle management

Cons

- Senior management does not define company strategy and simply either lacks a vision or if has one, does not communicate to lower level employees - Upper management never tours facilities, despite the fact that 3 of the biggest facilities are within a 15 minute drive of the headquarters. - Extremely poor communication between departments - Very poor annual compensations, even for the best employees - Many employees are underpaid and are no longer driven, yet remain with the company, thus leading to general lack of innovation - While has plenty of good managers, lacks good leaders - Very few young people - Extremely understaffed, especially in Manufacturing - Long work hours to make up for lack of employees - Heavy reliance on outsourcing of manufacturing to Mexico to save very little money at the expense of people's jobs in the US. - Does not invest in developing people whatsoever
