      Pros

      No reason to work for MKS anymore after acquisition of Newport Corp. Company recently, for instance, hired a new manager . He is not educated in the field but he likes his position. Another words teacher doesn't know the subject.

      Cons

      Bad management with very poor technical knowledge.

      Cons

      Management is a joke, most managers are clueless what they're doing but they have a degree and that makes them "management", micro management is thick at MKS, almost every person is in a terrible mood daily, workloads are ridiculously overwhelming for everyone. Unless you're a Manager, don't expect any perks. Bonuses are a joke for people under management. Zero support from HR.

      Pros

      Great compensation, and collaborative work environment. Having the ability to work remotely during Covid, and frequent updates from managers made the experience less stressful. Projects are demanding, but offer good opportunities to move into different roles.

      Cons

      401K is a 50% match, would like to see that go to 100% match at 6%.

      Engineer Sales Managment Trainee program

      Pros

      During the last months i had been working in a instrumentation company whose major activity consist in industrial intrument distribution. My job there was a set of instrument quotation on chemical company projects and internal project comunication management as i have a well spoken french, spanish, english and catalan. The job present good oportunity, to get contact with database softwares like G2K and app like Force manager. Moreover i learnt how to set instruments part as their configuration too. Finally i used to speak diferent languages when dealing with foreign clients besides the contact expantion it provides.

      Cons

      However, working here have the main drawback to be stress full sometimes, due to the exigences from the client. As high is the budget of the project, they get excited about the capital invested, followed by some creno situation.

      Low pay for what this job asks of you.

      Pros

      Good people to work with. Nice Cafe. Good vacation and sick time amounts. Yearly bonus.

      Cons

      Lift way more than the 25 lbs they say. Company fights your workers comp case and doesn’t pay out on it. The boss in this department complains every time you ask for any time off. Low pay for handling many different tasks in addition to your own. Boss doesn’t communicate whatsoever and will write you up even if you provide the required Doctors notes. Bathrooms are absolutely filthy and disgusting. HR protects managers only even if they pretend to be there for the employee. Boss goes out of their way to block you from further promotion/advancement within the company.

      Fast paced and exciting work with cutting edge supplier and customer relationships. A true look behind the curtain for most high tech fields.

      Cons

      Cash heavy company continues to decrease benefits and more inclined to bring in outside talent than promote from within. Receive regular notifications of Corporate level promotions with difficulty in acquiring tools with absurdly low purchasing power for local managers.
