Pros

There were lots of talented people, and decent work environment. Good benefits and work life balance.

Cons

It is the Kingdom of politics and backstabbing. Senior management interested only in processes. Middle management is of the poorest quality and self absorbed. If you are part of the clique the MSCI old timers you have a shot at career progression. And please don't even think you criticise, God you are too negative and they will punish you when it come to bonus. When it comes to promotions all is based on how you are visible inside the company or how well you have shmoozed with somone senior who will sponsor you, not on performance. The company doesn't take care of people who work hard and are loyal. When they hire new people the pay market rate, even if it means that it will be 30/40% more than someone who has been there and has done year on year a really good job.

Pros

On the face they seem to pay well but the salaries are kept relatively same for prolonged periods of time. Most of their benefits have a lock in for a min of 2 years.

Cons

The worst managed company. No team work. Extremely political environment and toxic. Long hours and weekends without any significant increase in compensation.

Pros

The employees in many of the departments are good people and are a joy to work with, but this excludes nearly all management.

Cons

Senior Management tells HR to tell any employee that is concerned about their low salary that it will ensure that they are brought up to market rate at the end of the year, but refuse to discuss at anytime market rate figures or ranges. At the end of the year, they don't increase salaries (nearly across the board) by much. Most of the jobs in several departments are being shipped overseas despite a lack of qualified applicants in those regions. End of year reviews are useless because if your manager decides you performed well, but senior management doesn't want to give you a bonus that reflects that performance, they just tell your manager to change your performance score (this really happened and was discussed with several employees during their performance reviews by the managers forced to change the scores).
