Pros

- Transparency across business performance and leadership POV helps to unify the team around what's most important. - True remote work support that's much more than a bolt-on to the traditional HQ experience. Post Covid, many companies tout WFH as a "perk" to be thankful for vs a standard way of working. Maze is fully distributed and enables employees to be successful in their own environment. High trust. - Autonomy is high, owning your work and building in async are highly promoted. Documentation and over communication keep things connected. - Maze platform use by employees is integral to the further development of the platform. This practice brings the product/eng/marketing teams in alignment with the user base and seems to correlate to great product market fit based on user feedback. Product updates are frequent and customer value based.

Cons

The self-serve, Notion heavy, onboarding method can be a bit overwhelming if you're more accustomed to an in-person hiring class style of integration to a team. The onboarding program is always being evaluated so this looks to be improving rapidly.
