Pros

The Salesforce culture that you hear about is true when it comes to volunteering and being encouraged to volunteer. The salaries are competitive and if you "grow up" in the Salesforce world it is a fantastic company to grow and learn.

Cons

If you are looking at Salesforce...stay away from the retail team. Leadership within this group is non-existent. Often times they talk out of both sides of their mouth. This is not a group that cares about the customer. They care about growth, growth and growth. Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods is a "boys club" plain and simple. If you are looking to join Salesforce, make sure you have a strong leader. and, ask to speak with other people on the team under the Regional Vice President of the team you are looking to join.

Pros

Great benefits, smart people, cool product. The company tries to keep that start-up feel and tries it's best to take care of it's employees. Salesforce also has a great volunteering program. Everything is team based.

Cons

Salesforce is a combination of Game of Thrones and House of Cards in a corporate environment. The politics in this company are extremely embraced by it's culture. Everyone has an opinion of you and everyone else. Work feels like an actual theatrical performance- making sure your interpersonal interactions are precisely how they need to be. Everyone has an opinion on something and if people don't take a liking to you right away- prepare to be isolated. Managers are so far up their own butts that they play even more into the politics game. At Salesforce it's next to impossible to be yourself- specially if you are a little bit different. People are willing to sabotage if it means that they themselves can progress. It's not a healthy environment to work in. Specially when people are still in a high school state of mind. You better be ready to play the game if you are ever going to advance in this company.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your experience. We do work hard to build and sustain a culture that will make Salesforce a great place to work for all, but understand that sometimes we fall short for some people. Politics have no place in our ohana. We'd love to learn more specifics about the behaviors you have seen that are degrading our culture so we can work to improve. If you are comfortable, you can reach out to me or your ES Business Partner directly. Or, if you prefer, you can safely and anonymously provide more info via our third party reporting tool EthicsPoint at http://www.salesforce.ethicspoint.com/. Getting more specific info via helps us to directly address issues and improve our workplace for everyone. We hope you will stick with us and help us protect and evolve our culture.
