Pros

WFH/Flexible Work Schedule Generous parental leaves Low healthcare premiums

Cons

The values are great on paper but are not actually lived out, specifically accountability/diversity/inclusion. Going to HR for any type of help is not worth the time, they don't do anything. The leadership team is unexperienced and all over the place. You won't get very far unless you are a favorite and those are the people that never push back. There are two types of employees at ShopRunner those who are working 12 hour days and those who are fully enjoying the flexible work schedule. Collobration is a joke, people go into meetings and just point fingers and throw people under the bus. They are firing people almost weekly but key employees are leaving even faster.

Thank you for the kudos on the policies we've built; we've worked hard in a little bit of time to evolve and go above and beyond what is standard in many of today's workplaces. The acquisition of Spring happened fairly recently, having only closed in fall of 2018. That said, as with any acquisition, there's lots to figure out and we're well on our path to clarity. We're excited about what we're building. Our business moves fast and our leaders work hard to find simplicity and clarity where things get complex. We've leaned into our hunger for feedback and taken many measures to come back to employees broadly to speak to the ways we'll action what we've learned and what we've heard. We're sorry there wasn't a great long-term fit for you here and wish you the best.

Pros

The company plans are ambitious. The recruiting team is bringing in a lot of exceptional hires. The culture is growing and thriving. There's a real sense of community.

Cons

Typical growing pains: understaffing on some projects, uncovering bumps in the road on other projects when we were expecting smooth sailing.

Pros

I really enjoy working with my team. I feel like my manager is thoughtful and open to suggestions without being defensive. The tech stack is okay but improving, and I look forward to learning from other engineers. I have sat in on a few presentations meant to share knowledge and think those are great too. I enjoy the work/life balance, and the benefits are pretty good.

Cons

Current design director seems to be underwater and unable to prioritize projects, allocate resources effectively, or lead a small design team. Compared to other similar stage startups I have worked at, the design output seems unorganized and lacks focus despite most of the designers being hardworking and talented.
