Pros

Excellent benefits, great pay. You can have a lot of fun working there; they have a "work hard, play hard" mentality. Also an excellent discount on phone/data service.

Cons

The metrics they use in the call center are a nightmare. If, by some miracle, you can balance a window of 2-3 minutes per call versus making sure the customer doesn't call back within 48 hours, then you are a better person than me. And if you can't, you're out. Needless to say, it creates a bit of a revolving door employee-wise because of these two metrics at war with one another. Some claim to be able to do it, but can't (won't) give you any working advice on how. I also wasn't a fan of my work schedule changing every six months. I'm sure it's fine if you just have yourself to worry about, but if you have a spouse or a significant other who also works, then it creates chaos.

Perfect Place to Work if you have a family

Pros

Work and life balance is perfect. The parking lot usually gets filled up at 10am, and empties out starting at 3pm. Plenty of parking spots on Friday. Job is secure and stable as long as you do your job. Once you hit certain years of service, you will get promoted. And the job pays you well! especially when you convert in hourly since you "actually" work 35 hours /wk.

Cons

Feel like T-mobile is trying to be the next startup-ish, but don't think they have right resources or culture. C-level executives are packed with awesome visions. Truly respect them. However, SVPs and below pretty much care only about hitting their metrics and bonus targets. Directors and below are all about keeping things as the way it is as long as those work fine. Why? because the culture here is - whenever the company wants to try something new, a massive re-org follows. Or, there is no good enough training opportunity provided to get their employees ready up to speed, but you are still expected to hit the metrics. Maybe i'm biased specific to one department, but that is what i have seen for past years now. I saw one group having a weekly farewell happy hour for consecutive months. If you are a millennial and looking for a dynamic growth opportunities, highly recommend that you find some other opportunities where your passion to learn and improve processes is appreciated & values. If you have a family and your priority is to only work 40 hours/wk or less, then this is the perfect place.

Pros

Company culture is really inviting and fun. The call center is really nice to come to work to. Training was the best part of the experience.

Cons

Metrics are too heavy and don't actually show how you are as an employee. The only way to move up in the company is to "prove" that you can do the worst job and it's all about who you know and have sucked up to. The attendance policy is a joke and is not written down anywhere so good luck getting an clear answer about how it works. The constant changes to policy and what the company focuses on is hard. The expectations are too high for the low amount of pay. The bonus structure is not worth working that hard for.
