Pros

There was not one good moment to work for Teletech.

Cons

I had about 45 supervisors in the chat room, there was no training and the trainers themselves were worried about their job positions. Plus they never paid me my hourly rate and defaulted on the last three weeks of payroll. They said that they had no money left in their corporate account to pay their employees. This company is such a scam and this is the reason why most of the work for them is over seas. They give you a schedule to work and then when you go to work they tell you that after one hour on the shift that you have MTO which stands for Mandatory time off without pay. There is a civil suit against them but I did not include myself. I feel that the suit is strong enough that they don't require myself as a witness to the outrageous company policies they have.

Pros

I love my co workers. Even though I work from home I had fun with them. My TLs were very helpful and I enjoyed working from home.

Cons

The pay was lower then what I was expecting but I was doing chat and that was fine until they changed it to flex then from flex to you must switch to voice or we have to let you go. So I am leaving this week. Too many changes, no raise and they just don't care. I would have loved to stay. If they have chat again I might try it. I was there for 10 months

Corporate HQ Roles

Pros

The corporate HQ building is very nice with an on-site gym, health kiosk, cafeteria, and internal courtyard. Job flexibility was a huge perk – it was an 8-5 office job but management was okay with occasionally working from home (as long as that privilege didn’t get abused). My managers were usually appreciative for hard work and were liberal about complimenting on a job well done. Most corporate HQ employees complained about the bene’s, and while it’s true they weren’t super great, I thought they were satisfactory (pretty standard health, dental, vision plans… moderate 401k match.. paid time off which is accumulated and increases at a faster rate the longer you are employed). For the most part I didn't have to work on the weekends.

Cons

The salary was below the industry average across all departments, which paved the way for extremely high attrition because folks realized they could go down the street and make 20% more as soon as they got some experience under their belt. Seriously, the only way someone would get a raise or promotion in my department was when a more senior person would leave and then management would dump all of their old work on top of your current workload to fill the void... even then, pay increases were not proportional to the additional workload. Management tried to squeeze every bit of productivity out of each employee which often interfered with work/life balance - another factor of the high employee attrition.
