Pros

They provide lunch that's it

Cons

Working at this company feels more like being in a chaotic marketplace than a structured organization. Employees are hired and fired with little consideration, creating an atmosphere of constant uncertainty. There's a glaring absence of any clear strategy for the company's future, leaving everyone feeling adrift in the ever-evolving landscape of Fintech. Software engineers, despite their expertise, are treated as expendable, akin to daily wage laborers. Although the company boasts about its top HR management in Gurgaon, grievances from employees are often disregarded, contributing to a toxic work environment. Attempts to seek clarification or address concerns are met with hostility and harassment, contradicting the promised heavenly workplace experience. There's a noticeable lack of on-the-job training, leaving employees to fend for themselves. Additionally, top management's behavior towards staff is dehumanizing, with frequent instances of yelling and disrespect. Appraisals further exacerbate morale issues, with big rewards reserved for those who curry favor, while hardworking individuals receive minimal recognition. The company's facilities, including the washrooms, are often dirty, adding to the overall unpleasantness of the work environment. Overall, the company fosters a negative and demoralizing atmosphere that significantly impacts employee well-being and satisfaction.

Pros

I have been working at Unlimit for a while now and I am genuinely impressed with their commitment to innovation and their global approach to fintech. Recently, they started their operations in India and are gradually adapting to the local culture, needs, and employee demands. Despite being an enterprise-level business, the company's culture is very agile and startup-style. If working with a global fintech leader is what you are looking for, then you need to be adaptive, consistent, and ready to embrace changes. With a brand-new office space, an innovative suite of products, and strategic global leadership, Unlimit will provide you with the tools to write your next growth story. Personally, with the unwavering support of my leader and the entire marketing team, I was able to quickly gain a comprehensive understanding of the product and industry despite being new to it. The team comprises individuals with creative, strategic, and growth mindsets, striving to achieve set goals. (We do have fun from time to time and organise activities that keep up the morale)

Cons

Initially, implementing policies tailored to Indian employees presented some challenges. However, the company has since made significant progress toward employee-centric policies and values.

Pros

1. A very few good team members exist here, but attrition is soon going to happen 2. The lunch setup 3. The office is in a good building but is located some distance from central Gurugram.

Cons

1. Lack of Clear Direction for Indian Market: The company lacks a defined strategy or roadmap for its operations in the Indian market. This absence of clarity makes it difficult for employees to align their efforts with specific goals and objectives tailored to the Indian context. Additionally, the company's failure to secure necessary licenses reflects a lack of preparedness and compliance with local regulations, which could hinder business operations and expansion in India. 2. Strictly Office-Based Work: Employees are required to work exclusively from the office without the option for remote work or flexible arrangements. This rigid policy limits employee flexibility and work-life balance, especially considering the benefits remote work can offer in terms of productivity and employee satisfaction. 3. Uncertain Job Environment: The company's hiring and firing practices contribute to a sense of instability and insecurity among employees. Frequent turnover and unclear communication regarding job expectations can lead to anxiety and reduced morale within the workforce. Employees may feel uncertain about their future with the company, impacting their commitment and performance. 4. Issues with HR Management in Gurugram: The HR department in Gurugram is perceived as overly controlling and invasive in its management style. This micromanagement creates a stifling work environment where employees feel constantly monitored and lacking autonomy. The lack of interpersonal engagement and support from HR can further contribute to dissatisfaction and hinder employee development. 5. Unprofessional Conduct by Senior Management: Senior management in Gurugram exhibits behavior that undermines professionalism and respect in the workplace. Using inappropriate language and displaying arrogance can erode trust and morale among employees. Such conduct sets a poor example for the organizational culture and can contribute to a toxic work environment. 6. Biased Performance Evaluations and Promotions: The company's performance evaluation and promotion processes appear to be biased or unfair. Favoritism towards individuals who exhibit subservient behavior rather than recognizing merit and contributions can demotivate talented employees. This inequality in recognition and career advancement can lead to resentment and hinder overall team morale and effectiveness. 7. Discrepancy Between Global Image and Local Practices: Despite portraying a global image, the company's operational practices in specific locations like Gurugram may not align with international standards of professionalism and corporate conduct. This disconnect can create confusion and disillusionment among employees, affecting their perception of the company's values and commitment to excellence. Addressing these issues requires comprehensive reforms in organizational strategy, HR management practices, leadership development, and employee engagement. By fostering a transparent and supportive work environment, the company can cultivate trust, empower employees, and enhance overall organizational effectiveness and success.
