Pros

Focuses on health and safety, good opportunities to move to other jobs within the organization

Cons

High stress, lack of communication, high turn over, reactive instead of proactive, resistance to change, lack of collaboration, blaming instead of working together to resolve issues, some managers allowed to bully while good managers leave.

Pros

Great peer relationships. Majority of executives are great people. Company products truly save lives.

Cons

Excessive overtime. EAs are extremely undervalued and looked at as "non strategic positions". Significantly less pay than the same job at other similar sized companies in the area. You have many more bosses than the one that you report to - can resemble the movie Office Space. The EA pool, while capable, does not experience even work distribution with some positions supporting only 10 people while another supports well over 100.

Pros

Work-life balance is good from my experience. A 40-hr week is typical with the exception of business trips, which were infrequent for my position. Most other employees are pleasant and helpful when available.

Cons

As a new employee right out of school, there wasn't much help in terms of getting oriented to being in a business environment. I also was expecting to do design work, but the work that I was given was to test the supplier's design with our equipment. In terms of personal growth, if I wanted to be a design engineer, I needed to change jobs to get that experience.
