If you're over 40 and not one of the boys, start looking for another job

Pros

Top management is interested in hiring recent college graduates and training them in what is called the "CEMEX Way". For this group of employees, there are a lot of opportunities to acquire new skills, both formally and through mentoring, and eventually find an area of interest. There are always a hefty number of projects going on and a need for (young) people willing to work long, insane hours to meet company goals.

Cons

CEMEX has a long tradition of buying established companies to grow their business. Unfortunately, the employees that come along with these acquired companies are not given the value and respect they deserve. Worse, if you happen to be over the age of 40 you're looked upon as someone not worthy of retaining and you'll be disposed of at the first opportunity. It doesn't matter what you accomplished with your previous employer. If CEMEX buys the company you work for, you start at ground zero, as in you have zero years of experience.

Pros

I quite do not find any and got to be honest about it.

Cons

- Clueless Corporate Management runs business such a way that keeps people working 14 hours at a regular day and beyond that for any other major issues - Extremely negative environment in plant level culture - Plant management has no leadership skill that takes tremendous toll on the people who work in the floor. They provide zero guidance, empathy or even caring for their folks working in the front line - Disrespectful attitude in everywhere from top to down - They make people work double the time and during annual raise they only give peanuts, hardly 2.3% increase

Pros

Global organization with a large footprint across the country. Industry is growing and stable. Peers are generally kind and helpful. Org offers flexible schedule and wfh options.

Cons

- Upper management ignores toxic behaviors from middle management. - Upper management is out of touch, overall. Numbers are more important than the people. - Toxic employees create poor environments and run off many talented employees. - High turnover - Salary does not match workload and expectations. - Employees are stretched too thin due to the in turnover and demand on the industry. - Employee appreciation/recognition is not a thing in this organization. Drivers receive recognition occasionally. But the rest of the workforce is receives nothing.
