DON’T work here

Pros

Work from home was nice until they sent us spy cameras that watch us all day and make us clock out on a break whenever we’re getting out of our chair.

Cons

Maybe have a little faith/trust your employees. They lied to us about the urgency of this security camera only for me to talk to some people who work in cyber security, who said this was basically to spy on us and see if we we’re in our chairs 40 hours a week minus 2 breaks and lunch. This are not normal working conditions, human beings (we’re not just workers CONCENTRIX) deserve to be able to take longer lunches if we’d like, take walks, get up and stretch, and work in the privacy of our own home without having our faces scanned randomly using “facial biometrics”. If anyone reads this and are still working at concentrix under the camera, THEY LIED TO US. If they really needed it som much for security they would just have us come into the office. They also said if there was a breach, most companies would simply take the computer and wipe it. To say my privacy feels invaded does not even begin to explain what I feel. Angry really, that companies can treat their workers like this and their aren’t updated privacy laws to fight against this.

Pros

Fully remote and a decent salary for the work.

Cons

Concentrix’s primary and really only goal is to get you into a spot. If anyone in any leadership role is talking it’s basically guaranteed they’re lying or telling half truths. 1. Shift flexibility. What this means is that you will get put on a schedule and it will not change. You will have two options, one overnight and one that starts extremely early (before 5 AM). Weekends and holidays? You bet you’ll work every weekend and holiday. 2. You’ll get time and a half for overtime and holidays. You’ll get time and a half for holidays for your first 90 days. After that timeframe you no longer will. 3. Internal promotions There’s a lot of internal promotions but due to high turnover everyone is perpetually undertrained and you will constantly hear conflicting information. Every manager will follow things strictly by the book despite any surrounding circumstances because this is the first time most of them have ever had any leadership role and it shows. On. Every. Level. 4. You’ll work 9-5, Monday through Friday. Hahahaha. This one isn’t even a partial lie, this was a complete lie told to me during both my interview and training. Even only working a single weekend day is basically impossible. 5. Customers are always right and you are always wrong. Getting cussed at? Getting called racial slurs? Getting hit on? Sorry you didn’t handle the situation according to the steep standards outlined by quality assurance. Some customers suck. I shouldn’t be penalized that a customer called me pissed and it was completely out of my control. 6. Working systems. If your systems only go down for one full day a week it’s a good week. I’m sure you think that they’ll reroute calls or add an automated message right? No no, you need to tell every pissed customer that we can’t help them. Better to have me look incompetent then you guys take personal responsibility for your actions. 7. Training. Yeah, you’ll go to a long training as you acclimate to concentrix but none of the information is relevant and you won’t learn anything about the actual job. Everything will basically be self taught as you continue to get graded and judged. Message to management: You guys have the highest turnover from any company I’ve worked with. Like embarrassingly high. Maybe you should reevaluate your training process, your hiring process, and your promotion process. It is a group of mismanaged people leading more mismanaged people leading even more mismanaged people. You’re welcome to continue lying to people in order to get the seats filled but don’t expect me to continue biting my tongue while I witness your incompetence as a company.

Unfulfilling

Pros

Wonderful coworkers, working from home is nice. The job is easy enough to learn and the training is a highlight. Coaching is generally very well done.

Cons

There are many. The pay is abhorrent. Moving into a senior role comes with an 80 cent pay rise. Incentive pay is very difficult to maintain if you aren’t a robot. In my two years of employment, I had five different team leaders due to constant internal reshuffles. One of these teams was rife with favouritism, which absolutely killed my morale while working under that manager. The pressure is immense at the job. There is minimal time off calls, bathroom breaks are heavily monitored - you will be personally called out if you take time off calls for any reason or amount of time. I once had a timestamp for a bathroom break shared openly with my team by my manager - absolutely disgusting behaviour. Internal progression is only possible if you’re friends with those in higher positions. If you prefer to just clock in and clock out, you will struggle to progress within the company. Strict work-from-home work space requirements mean that your office room will likely be uncomfortable. I understand this is to meet client demands, but it felt like working out of a padded cell with an iMac in the corner. This job is deeply unfulfilling and will erode your mental and physical health. I can only recommend this job to somebody who needs employment to get back on their feet - even then, don’t stop looking for other jobs. You do not want to stay here for long.

Hello and thank you for the review- you've mentioned some things we really want to address. First, we want to thank you for leaving us this feedback to consider when we talk about making Concentrix Australia a great place to work. Each month we provide our leadership teams with an overview of how both current and former staff feel their work experience with us is and it's crucial for us to share your perspective on favoritism and micromanagement within our work place since that is not the integrity we promote within our culture. We do hope that in the future you reconsider Concentrix as an employer and have a much better experience.
