Pros

Goodwill is a great place for a person to get back into the workforce. It is also a good place for people with language barriers to work. Goodwill is great about allowing for persons with limitations to have reasonable accommodations.

Cons

You may not expect much professionalism from coworkers even if management is involved in trying to correct bad behavior. I had a coworker physically run into me multiple times (which I am sure was deliberate), discuss my disabilities with other workers, and run through the store telling every person that she could that I had done something terrible to her while she pointed at me when, in fact, all I had done was request that she stay out of my space -- something she had already been warned about as would get into my workspace for no reason (except that she seemed to delight in making me uncomfortable) -- but nothing management did changed her behavior and they seemed to stop trying even though there were multiple problems between her and other workers, too.

Pros

I have been working at as a store mgr with Goodwill for almost a month. I have work in a manager roll for well over 6 yrs and I have to say this company offers peace of mind. You cant put a dollar amount on that. Great home/work life balance. And the work load I feel is fair and achievable compared other companies i have worked for that is if you are willing to put in the work. Yeah you may have to sacrifice working long hrs every once in a while but not often and the hours are worked benefit you over all if you are strategic and managing your time. I really am greatful I was able to start working for goodwill.

Cons

When i took this job i did take a significant pay cut, but to me it was worth it. Great upper management team from district directors to corporate.
