Pros

I've been with Goodwill for almost 3 years. Good people to work for. Plenty of opportunities for upward mobility for those who like to make a difference! Proceeds of retail operations are utilized to help people with developmental disabilities.

Cons

Retail associates should be paid more. (As a manager, I've heard that an increase is being discussed). Turn over is excessive due to wages. It seems as if I train new associates so they can work for someone else!

Pros

It's nonprofit & actually works toward bettering the community. Goodwill is a big name & has locations across the country, but this review is for the Northern New England chain. Maine, New Hampshire & Vermont. I've been to others & they are /very/ different.

Cons

There are no benefits for part time or 'casual' employees. Scheduling is messy & communication isn't great. They are not completely interested when it comes to employees' concerns.
